Rent Car MY ("we", "our", or "us") This Refund Policy explains how we process refunds when you use our car rental services in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Refund Policy

At Rent Car MY, we aim to provide a smooth and reliable car rental experience. This Refund Policy outlines the conditions under which refunds may be issued for bookings made with us.

1. Eligibility for Refunds

  • Advance Cancellation: Customers may cancel their booking at least 48 hours before the scheduled pickup time to receive a full refund.
  • Late Cancellation: Cancellations made less than 48 hours before pickup, the equivalent of the first two rental days is non-refundable. Any remaining balance for the unused rental period will be refunded
  • No-Show: If the renter does not collect the vehicle at the confirmed booking time, the equivalent of the first two rental days is non-refundable. Any remaining balance for the unused rental period will be refunded.

2. Payment Method Refunds

  • Refunds will be processed using the same payment method used at the time of booking.
  • Please allow 7–14 business days for the refund to appear in your account, depending on your payment provider.

3. Security Deposit

  • The security deposit is not part of the rental payment and will be fully refunded upon safe and timely return of the vehicle in accordance with our Terms & Conditions.
  • Deductions may apply for:
    • Traffic fines, tolls, or penalties.
    • Damage or loss not covered by insurance.
    • Refueling charges if the vehicle is returned with less fuel than at pickup.
    • Cleaning fees for smoking, pets, or excessive dirt/spills.

4. Modifications & Changes

  • Changes to booking dates, vehicle category, or rental duration are subject to availability and approval.
  • If changes result in a lower rental fee, the difference may be refunded if the request is made at least 48 hours before pickup.

5. Exceptional Circumstances

In cases of unforeseen events, such as:

  • Government travel restrictions,
  • Natural disasters,
  • Medical emergencies (with documentation),
    we may, at our sole discretion, provide a credit voucher or partial refund, even if the cancellation falls within the non-refundable period.

6. Governing Law

This Refund Policy is governed by the laws of Malaysia and forms part of our Terms & Conditions.
